We offer a variety of yoga classes including Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Restorative, Chakras, Yin, Nidra, Guided Meditation, Trauma-informed Yoga, and add daily living suggestions for healthy eating, weight loss, and joyful outlook.
Yoga mats are personal. Some of us need extra length, extra width, or additional padding. I'm happy to recommend a mat for you. Note the Sand Dollar package includes an Equipment Package including a beautiful durable, mat, 2 blocks, a strap, and a therapy ball, along with a lovely zip and carry bag to keep your equipment organized and handy.
I welcome students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. I offer modifications and variations to make each class accessible. If I feel a different practitioner would be more beneficial for you, I will tell you, and recommend a fellow practitioner for your best experience.
Class lengths depend on the format:
Meditations are 5-30 minutes depending on the need and topic
Yoga Flows generally vary from 30 to 60 minutes
Yoga Restorative class is generally 45-60 minutes
Yin Yoga depends on the body focus area involved, but at least 30 minutes
Yoga Nidra is generally at least 45 minutes
Yoga has numerous physical and mental benefits, including increased flexibility, strength, balance, reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, better oxygen flow, and better overall health.
I recommend comfort! Consider wearing comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement, such as leggings or athletic shorts and a tank top or t-shirt.
After 30 years of working as an engineer, CC was out of shape, overweight, and unable to keep up with her dog! She needed an Operating System overhaul! (Does this sound familiar?)
With the many forms of Yoga, CC pulls her clients out of "I'm ok, just give me a minute" and back in the direction of "Let's go Play!" Plans tailored (there is no one plan fits all) especially for your goals will get you moving and grooving, breathing, moving, stretching, and flexing those muscles again. You'll be finding your Mojo through Meditation, Strengthening the Back and Legs to Launch out of your chair like the Warrior you are, Stretching to find you CAN reach the upper Shelves again, Balancing like a Pitcher throwing a Fastball, rebuilding the Strength to Haul those Ice Chests to the kids' games, and just maybe...your own games, when you get back into the sports YOU love.
Through curated sessions of Breath Work, Movement, Relaxation, and Meditation, all in a Light Hearted Hour, you'll be on your way to Strength, Balance, and Flexibility. How about being able to put on your socks and pants while standing? Or, being able to put on a glove to play catch, or go golfing, bicycling, or hiking? Remember, the start is . . breathing, and you're probably doing that now, so you're already on the way! Side effects may include lower blood pressure, a change on the scale, more energy, a calmer mind, a better range of motion, a good night's sleep, and double-takes by your friends.
CC's Yogic lifestyle encompasses all parts of health: movement, yes, but also eating healthy foods, a joyous outlook, a compassionate heart, concern for Mother Earth, a vibrant community, continued studies, and the need to laugh with friends...often, and the beauty of sharing with others who are walking in the shoes she did to get back their Inner Athlete! What's stopping YOU from the journey? Sign up now, before slots fill.
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health. Regular practice improves breathing, decreases blood pressure and promotes mindfulness. Focus on yourself and find clarity in your life.
